Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking a Senior Pipeline Engineer to lead design project teams on transmission and distribution pipelines, from concept to design completion. You will guide the design and construction process, adapting plans to budget constraints and client needs.

You will mentor engineers, manage budgets and change orders, review vendor drawings, prepare data sheets and RFQs, and build strong client relationships to drive project success, with travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree with 7 years of pipeline experience; EPC experience preferred.
• ABET-accredited B.S. with FE exam and 7 years pipeline experience; EPC preferred.
• MS in Mechanical or Civil with 6 years pipeline experience; EPC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead pipeline design from concept through design completion for project needs and requirements.
• Prepare equipment, RFQs, technical bid summaries, and purchase recommendations.
• Review vendor drawings and interface with suppliers, clients, and other disciplines.
• Develop schedules, scope, budgets, staffing, and construction planning; manage changes.
• Quality review drawings; ensure compliance with standards and constructability.
