Job summary

Hargrove & Associates Inc. is seeking a Pipe Engineer IV in Greenville, SC to perform advanced mechanical design for complex piping and utility systems.

You will conduct stress analyses, prepare construction specs, and develop cost-effective layouts for projects with field support during startup. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s or master’s in mechanical engineering, 6+ years of related experience, and PE registration is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university is required.
• Professional Engineering registration is highly preferred.
• 6+ years of relevant industrial experience in mechanical engineering.
• Knowledge of design standards and codes; materials; piping specifications; and HVAC systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete design of complex mechanical engineering assignments.
• Conduct stress analysis, calculations, and material procurement specs.
• Develop conceptual layouts and cost studies to optimize designs.
• Produce detailed design calculations and sketches for construction materials.
• Review vendor drawings and assist drafting with layouts and problem solving.
• Lead small teams and coordinate with other disciplines to ensure on-time delivery.
