Job summary

Hargrove and Associates, Inc is seeking a senior mechanical engineer to perform all aspects of design for complex mechanical projects, including stress analysis, piping and utility systems, and startup support on site.

Candidates should hold a Bachelor or Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering, PE registration preferred, and have 6+ years of relevant industrial experience with the ability to lead a small team, estimate construction quantities, and develop schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• PE registration preferred.
• 6+ years of relevant industrial mechanical engineering experience.
• Experience with piping, HVAC, and process systems.
• Ability to lead a small team and coordinate with discipline leads.

Responsibilities

• Perform design for complex mechanical projects including stress analysis.
• Produce construction specs and material take-offs.
• Assist drafting group with layout and detailing problems.
• Provide field data gathering and startup support on site.
• Coordinate with other disciplines for information flow and schedule adherence.
• Review vendor drawings for mechanical input and conformance.

Education

Bachelor/Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering

Professional Engineering registration preferred
