Job summary

Beyond New Horizons (BNH) seeks a PHMS Engineering Supervisor to lead a skilled team at Arnold AFB, TN, focusing on mechanical integrity of pressure vessels and piping. You will direct field work, perform ASME/B31 calculations, and supervise NDE-based assessments while ensuring safety and compliance.

The role requires a DoD Secret clearance, DoD environment experience, and strong leadership and communication to drive continuous improvement within the PHMS group.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical or civil/structural engineering with 15+ years of experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret clearance; US citizenship required.
• Experience applying ASME, API codes and performing mechanical integrity assessments.

Responsibilities

• Direct PHMS staff in field work and engineering assessments for AEDC mission.
• Oversee daily operations and project assignments for PHMS personnel.
• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and work instructions.
• Lead regular status meetings and present reports to leadership.
• Supervise inspections, code calculations, and Fitness for Service analyses.
• Provide code compliance consultation for pressurized systems.
• Reverse engineer systems using NDT data and perform analyses.
• Ensure data collection and documentation accuracy for integrity assessments.
