Job summary

Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) has multiple openings for Mechanical Systems Engineers supporting the Test Operations and Sustainment contract at Arnold AFB, TN. Engineers will maintain and sustain mechanical systems, overseeing installation, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and upgrades of major equipment to ensure test readiness for customers. Note: 5 to 10 years post-degree experience preferred.

U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance required.

Qualifications

• BS degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Grade 08: a minimum of 5 years’ engineering experience.
• Grade 09: a minimum of 8 years’ engineering experience.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret level security clearance.
• U.S. Citizenship is required for employment at AEDC.

Responsibilities

• Respond when systems malfunction, troubleshooting and directing corrective maintenance activities.
• Update and maintain system documentation for systems of responsibility.
• Work with design engineering, fabrication shops, DoD client, and other contractors.
• Develop with Asset Health Assurance personnel advanced maintenance plans.
• Conduct and write up system safety hazard analyses and write clear work instructions for operation and maintenance.
• Assess and communicate risks to stakeholders.
• Develop estimates for improvement projects.
• Work with planners, schedulers, and craft supervisors to safely plan and execute projects including maintenance work, upgrades, and test projects.
• Assist craft personnel with troubleshooting and overseeing their work; provide technical leadership and guidance.
• It is a condition of employment to wear company issued PPE.
• Perform other related duties as required.
