Job summary

Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) seeks a Mechanical Systems Engineer to support ground testing and sustainment at Arnold AFB, TN. You will oversee installation, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrades of major mechanical equipment to ensure test readiness for Air Force customers.

Applicants should have 5–10 years of post-degree engineering experience, be able to work with cross-functional teams, and demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills. U.S.

Qualifications

• BS degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum of 5 years’ engineering experience for Grade 08.
• Minimum of 8 years’ engineering experience for Grade 09.

Responsibilities

• Respond to system malfunctions and coordinate corrective maintenance to return to service.
• Update and maintain system documentation for responsibilities.
• Collaborate with design engineering, fabrication shops, DoD clients, and contractors.
• Develop advanced maintenance plans with Asset Health Assurance personnel.
• Conduct and document system safety hazard analyses and write work instructions.
• Assess and communicate risks to stakeholders and upgrade projects.
• Develop estimates for improvement projects and required resources.
• Coordinate with planners, schedulers, and craft supervisors for safe execution.
