Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of phlebotomy experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy Certificate if required by state.

Responsibilities

• Verify test requisitions and resolve discrepancies with the unit staff.
• Verify patient identity before venipuncture.
• Obtain blood specimens by venipuncture or finger sticks.
• Maintain specimen integrity using aseptic technique and procedures.
• Track collection times and maintain daily tallies of draws.
• Document results and report changes in quality-control logs.
