Job summary

Walgreens seeks a Pharmacy Technician to assist pharmacists by entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying accuracy, and helping manage daily pharmacy workflows in Manhattan, KS.

You will support inventory control, customer service, third party claims, and communications with physicians, while upholding the Pharmacy Code of Conduct and pursuing continuing education and certifications.

Qualifications

• PTCB/ExCPT certification as required (except in Puerto Rico).
• 1 year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in dispensing medications and entering patient and drug information.
• Fill prescriptions by counting and pouring medications and checking for interactions.
• Support pharmacy manager and staff in scheduling and workflow management.
• Handle non-urgent customer calls and direct questions to pharmacist when needed.
• Lead inventory management, ordering, receiving, and storage of pharmaceuticals.
