Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in a busy retail setting. You will enter patient and drug information, fill prescriptions, verify accuracy, and help manage workflow under supervision.

You will assist with inventory, handle cash and customer interactions, and participate in quality improvement efforts while upholding Walgreens policies and the Code of Conduct. English fluency and flexibility are required.

Qualifications

• Fluent English in reading, writing and speaking.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire.
• PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Enter patient and drug information in pharmacy systems accurately and securely.
• Fill prescriptions by retrieving, counting and pouring medications; verify accuracy and interactions.
• Assist pharmacists in scheduling and maintaining workflow and report prescription errors.
• Handle cash transactions and assist customers at the OTC aisle and telephones.
• Maintain pharmacy inventory including ordering, receiving, and stocking medications.
