Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists, enter patient and drug information, and help ensure accurate dispensing and strong customer service.

Under supervision, you will assist with prescription processing, inventory control, and coordination of clinical services, while maintaining compliance with policy and quality standards, including Good Faith Dispensing practices.

Qualifications

• PTCB or ExCPT certification is required where applicable.
• At least 1 year of experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist in pharmacy practice under pharmacist supervision.
• Enter patient and drug information into pharmacy systems accurately.
• Fill prescriptions by counting and pouring medications; verify accuracy and interactions.
• Assist in scheduling and workflow management within the pharmacy.
• Process third party claims and handle clerical duties.
• Maintain inventory and assist in stock management.
• Support clinical services and coordinate with healthcare providers.
