Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support daily operations under the supervision of a pharmacist. You will assist with prescription processing, data entry, cash handling, and customer assistance in the store environment.

Responsibilities include maintaining inventory, aiding in third-party claims, and supporting clinical services as needed, while ensuring accuracy and patient safety in Walgreens standards.

Qualifications

• PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire (except in Community Specialty Pharmacy, Health System Pharmacy locations, or in locations where this role is covered under a collective bargaining agreement)

Responsibilities

• Under the supervision by the pharmacist, assist in the practice of pharmacy, in accordance with state, federal, and company policy.
• Reviews and complies with the Walgreen Co. Pharmacy Code of Conduct.
• Fills prescriptions by retrieving, counting and pouring pharmaceutical drugs, verifying medicine is correct, and checking for possible interactions.
• Assist pharmacists in scheduling and maintaining work flow.
• Reports prescription errors and adheres to Company policies and procedures.
• Register related sales and handle cash.
• Assist with exterior and interior maintenance by ensuring the Pharmacy Department is stocked with supplies, clean and orderly.
