Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist pharmacists under supervision, managing prescriptions and customer service. You will enter patient data, verify drug information, and help maintain inventory and workflow in the store pharmacy.

Responsibilities include processing claims, handling cash register duties, and supporting clinical services as needed while upholding Walgreens policies.

Qualifications

• PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in retail or hospital.
• English reading, writing and speaking fluency.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist under supervision with pharmacy tasks.
• Enter patient and drug information into pharmacy systems; verify accuracy.
• Fill prescriptions by retrieving, counting and pouring medications.
• Check for drug interactions and advise accordingly.
• Support scheduling and workflow of the pharmacy staff.
• Report prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty.
