Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist in the practice of pharmacy under the supervision of the pharmacist in our Fresno, CA location. You will enter patient information, fill prescriptions, and support inventory management while delivering excellent customer service.

The role requires a PTCB/ExCPT certification and at least one year of experience in retail or hospital settings, with a willingness to obtain immunization certification within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire.
• PTCB or ExCPT certification required (except in Puerto Rico).

Responsibilities

• Assist in the practice of pharmacy under supervision of the pharmacist.
• Fill prescriptions by retrieving, counting and pouring pharmaceuticals; verify accuracy.
• Enter patient and drug information into pharmacy systems; manage third party claims.
• Lead inventory management: ordering, unpacking, storing, and SKU control.
• Support pharmacy manager and staff pharmacist in clinical services and coordination with providers.
