Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist under supervision in the practice of pharmacy, ensuring accurate dispensing, proper labeling, and patient safety. You will enter patient data, fill prescriptions, and support inventory and workflow management within a Walgreens store environment.

The role requires PTCB or ExCPT certification, at least one year of experience, and English fluency. Flexibility for evening/weekend hours and immunization certification is expected.

Qualifications

• PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire (except in Community Specialty Pharmacy, Health System Pharmacy locations, or in locations where this role is covered under a collective bargaining agreement)
• Preferred: prior Walgreens experience.
• Preferred: basic math skills and basic PC skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in pharmacy operations under supervision of the pharmacist.
• Enter patient and drug information into pharmacy systems and verify medication accuracy.
• Fill prescriptions by counting and pouring, check for interactions, and ensure proper labeling.
• Schedule and maintain workflow; assist with inventory management and KPI reviews.
• Support clinical services and coordination with healthcare providers and external providers.
