Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist pharmacists and support daily operations in a retail pharmacy. Under pharmacist supervision, you will dispense prescriptions, enter data, and help customers with questions.

You will help manage inventory, process claims, support clinical services, and maintain accuracy and compliance with company policies. Strong English communication and flexibility to work evenings/weekends are required.

Qualifications

• PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist under pharmacist supervision in dispensing and pharmacy operations.
• Enter patient and drug information, fill prescriptions, verify accuracy, and check for interactions.
• Assist with scheduling, workflow, and pharmacy KPIs.
• Process manual third party prescription claims and related clerical tasks.
• Lead pharmacy department inventory management and asset protection.
• Support clinical services and coordination with providers.
