Job summary

Walgreens Co. is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in dispensing prescriptions and managing patient information. You will assist customers at the counter, handle cash transactions, and help maintain accurate medication records and inventory.

Under supervision, you’ll ensure correct dispensing, verify drug interactions, and participate in workflow optimization. The role requires a certification, customer service focus, and willingness to work evenings/weekends.

Qualifications

• PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in dispensing prescriptions and entering patient information.
• Process prescriptions by retrieving, counting and pouring medications; verify accuracy and interactions.
• Handle cash register transactions and assist customers to locate OTC products.
• Support inventory management, ordering, unpacking, and shelf stocking for the Pharmacy.
• Coordinate with healthcare providers and maintain pharmacy workflow and quality improvement initiatives.
