Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the Pharmacy Manager and Staff Pharmacist in dispensing prescriptions, managing inventory, and delivering excellent customer service. Under pharmacist supervision, you will enter patient data, ensure accurate drug information, and assist with third-party claims.

Responsibilities include maintaining compliance with pharmacy policies, aiding in clinical services, and contributing to KPI reviews with the Store Manager and Healthcare Supervisor.

Qualifications

• PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire (except in Community Specialty Pharmacy, Health System Pharmacy locations, or in locations where this role is covered under a collective bargaining agreement)

Responsibilities

• Assist in dispensing prescriptions under pharmacist supervision, ensuring accuracy and safety.
• Enter patient and drug information into pharmacy systems; verify interactions.
• Handle cash register operations and customer assistance at the OTC aisle.
• Lead inventory management: order, unpack, check, store pharmaceuticals and manage losses.
• Respond to calls from physicians and coordinate with healthcare providers as needed.
