Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the pharmacy team in delivering accurate medication dispensing and excellent customer service. Qualifications

• PTCB or ExCPT certification, except in Puerto Rico.
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the practice of pharmacy under supervision, in accordance with state, federal, and company policy.
• Enter patient and drug information into pharmacy systems accurately and efficiently.
• Fill prescriptions by retrieving, counting and pouring pharmaceutical drugs, verifying accuracy.
• Check for possible drug interactions and ensure correct medication.
• Assist pharmacists in scheduling and maintaining workflow.
• Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to company policies regarding errors.
• Register related sales on cash register and assist customers to OTC aisles.
• Handle non-urgent calls to physicians and perform clerical duties as assigned.
• Lead pharmacy department inventory activities including ordering, unpacking and storing shipments.
• Assist in analyzing KPIs with Store Manager and Healthcare Supervisor.
