Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist pharmacists in dispensing medications, manage workflow, and support pharmacy operations. You will enter patient data, process third-party claims, and help maintain accurate inventories.

The role requires PTCB or ExCPT certification (or equivalent), at least one year of technician experience, and fluent English. Flexible scheduling including evenings/weekends is expected.

Qualifications

• PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire (except in Community Specialty Pharmacy, Health System Pharmacy locations, or in locations where this role is covered under a collective bargaining agreement)

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications and maintaining workflow.
• Enter patient and drug information accurately in pharmacy systems.
• Process (corrects and resubmits) manual claims for third party prescription services and perform clerical duties.
• Lead pharmacy department inventory management activities and support program implementation.
