Job summary

Cov enant Medical Center is seeking an Acute Care Pharmacy Tech III to support filling and dispensing medications to nursing units and other departments with precision. The role requires expertise with unit doses, IVs, and ADS operations, plus advanced knowledge in multiple specialty areas.

The candidate should hold a high school diploma or GED, and possess Texas licensure or trainee status, and New Mexico licensure if applicable.

Qualifications

H.S. Diploma or GED.
New Mexico Pharmacy Technician license or eligible on hire.
Texas Pharmacy Technician Trainee license on hire.
Texas Registered Pharmacy Technician License on hire.
Minimum of 2 years (>4160 clock hours) of pharmacy practice in an integrated health system with a PTCB certification, or 3 years (>6240 hours) hospital pharmacy if not certified.
Experience with Automated Dispensing Machines (ADMs) and EHRs.

Responsibilities

Fill/dispense unit dose and stock medications to nursing units and other departments.
Triaging patient orders and maintaining the automated dispensing system (ADS).
Advances knowledge in two or more specialty areas in the pharmacy.
