Job summary

Providence Health & Services in Hobbs, NM, seeks an Acute Care Pharmacy Tech II to fill and dispense unit dose and stock medications to nursing units and other departments. You will triage orders and ensure ADS integrity in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Required NM license, TX licenses or trainee licenses, PTCB certification, and 1 year (or 2 years non-PTCB) hospital pharmacy experience. Per-diem schedule; competitive pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• New Mexico Pharmacy Technician license required on hire.
• Texas Pharmacy Technician Trainee license or Texas Registered Pharmacy Technician license on hire.
• PTCB certification on hire or as required.
• Minimum 1 year pharmacy practice in an integrated health system or 2 years hospital pharmacy if not PTCB certified.

Responsibilities

• Fill and dispense unit dose and stock medications to nursing units and other departments.
• Fill/dispense oral and IV medications; triage patient orders.
• Maintain the integrity of the automated dispensing system (ADS).

Education

New Mexico Pharmacy Technician License

Texas Pharmacy Technician Trainee License

Texas Registered Pharmacy Technician License

PTCB certification
