Job summary

Providence Health & Services in Texas is seeking an Acute Care Pharmacy Tech III to support filling and dispensing unit dose and stock medications to nursing units and other departments. You will handle oral and IV medications, triage orders, and ensure the automated dispensing system operates accurately.

The role requires HS Diploma or GED, Texas license, PTCB or equivalent, and 2–3 years hospital pharmacy experience; ADMs and EHR experience preferred.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Texas or New Mexico pharmacy technician license/trainee status required upon hire.
• PTCB certification or equivalent required.
• 2+ years in an integrated health system; 3 years hospital if no PTCB.
• Experience with ADMs and EHR systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fill/dispense unit dose and stock medications to nursing units.
• Distribute oral and IV medications with accuracy and speed.
• Triage patient orders and maintain ADS integrity.
• Apply advanced knowledge in two or more specialty areas.
