Job summary

Providence Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, TX is seeking an Acute Care Pharmacy Tech III to support the filling and dispensing of unit dose and stock medications to nursing units and other departments, including IV meds, while ensuring ADS integrity.

The role requires 2+ years hospital pharmacy experience or 3 years without PTCB, TX/NM technician licenses upon hire, and familiarity with ADMs and EHRs; we offer a comprehensive benefits package and a values-driven culture.

Qualifications

H.S. Diploma or GED.
Upon hire: New Mexico Pharmacy Technician - New Mexico Board of Pharmacy or
Upon hire: Texas Pharmacy Technician Trainee or
Upon hire: Texas Registered Pharmacy Technician License.
Minimum of 2 years (> 4160 clock hours) of pharmacy practice in an integrated health system and PTCB certification - OR - 3 years (> 6240 hours) hospital pharmacy if technician does not have PTCB certification.
Previous experience with Automated Dispensing Machines (ADMs) and electronic health records (EHR).

Responsibilities

Fill/dispense unit dose and stock medications to nursing units and ancillary departments.
Fill/dispense oral and IV medications and triage patient orders.
Maintain the integrity of the Automated Dispensing System (ADS).
