Job summary

AdventHealth—Hendersonville, NC is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician Lead for a full-time Day shift to oversee enterprise-level inventory and safety initiatives. Lead procurement, formulary alignment, and perpetual inventory accuracy while ensuring DEA compliance and staff development.

You will mentor technicians, support regulatory inspections, and drive performance across central and unit operations, including sterile and hazardous compounding and automation systems integration.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of contemporary hospital pharmacy experience.
• Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPhT) required.
• NHA/CPhT OR PTCB CPhT certification required.
• Pharmacy technician training program completion preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads enterprise-level inventory operations, including procurement processes and perpetual inventory accuracy.
• Oversees controlled substance programs, diversion prevention, and DEA compliance.
• Leads system-wide medication safety initiatives and risk mitigation.
• Mentors staff and leads quality improvement, education, and practice advancement projects.
• Oversees hazardous medication handling and USP <800> compliance.
