Job summary

AdventHealth South Overland Park is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician – Full-Time to join our team. The Advanced Pharmacy Technician performs expert-level duties across core and advanced operations, supporting patient-centered care, medication safety, and regulatory compliance.

The role involves sterile and hazardous compounding, controlled substance management, inventory optimization, and collaboration with pharmacists and leadership to improve services and implement quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Two years of contemporary hospital pharmacy experience required.
• Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPhT) required.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through PTCB or NHA required.

Responsibilities

• Oversees advanced pharmacy technician functions across sterile and hazardous workflows.
• Leads inventory management, procurement, and formulary compliance.
• Ensures compliance with USP<795>/<797>/<800>, DEA, OSHA and accreditation standards.
• Mentors technicians and supports training, performance evaluations, and quality improvement.
