Job summary

AdventHealth in Tampa, FL is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician Leader to oversee training programs, mentor technicians, and support onboarding and competency validation. You will drive continuous professional growth, advanced practice, and cross-functional collaboration across the pharmacy team.

The role requires 3+ years of hospital pharmacy experience and strong leadership in medication safety, workflow optimization, and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred for leadership roles in pharmacy
• High School Grad or equivalent required; relevant licensure by state preferred
• Minimum 3+ years in an integrated health system; 3+ years hospital pharmacy experience

Responsibilities

• Oversees training programs and mentors pharmacy technicians and supports onboarding, competency validation, and peer development.
• Assists in identifying training needs and reinforcing best practices.
• Supports technician career development and contributes to advancement of pharmacy technician practice.
• Represents pharmacy in committees, governance, and enterprise initiatives.
• Champions innovation and continuous professional growth.
• Executes expert-level pharmacy technician duties with mastery across core and advanced workflows.
• Coordinates daily workflow for the pharmacy technician team and assigns responsibilities.
• Ensures continuity of operations between shifts and across practice areas.
• Monitors and ensures compliance with hospital policies and medication safety standards.
