Job summary

AdventHealth South Overland Park is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician IV to support advanced operations in a hospital setting. You will contribute to medication safety, regulatory compliance, and efficient drug distribution across centralized and decentralized workflows.

You will serve as a subject matter expert in sterile compounding, hazardous drug handling, and inventory management while mentoring technicians and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Must be a registered Pharmacy Technician (RPhT).
• National certification (CPhT) required.
• Two years of contemporary hospital pharmacy experience.
• Strong knowledge of USP standards and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to lead operational initiatives and quality improvement projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced pharmacy technician functions including sterile compounding and hazardous medications.
• Oversee inventory management, formulary compliance, and shortage mitigation.
• Lead DEA compliance, controlled substance processes, and audits.
• Conduct medication safety initiatives and quality improvement projects.
• Mentor technicians, support onboarding and staff development.
• Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare teams to resolve medication-related issues.
