Job summary

Univar Solutions is seeking a senior-level Sales Account Manager for its Pharma team. This home-based, nationwide role focuses on building long-term, value-based relationships with accounts, expanding business, and improving margins while reducing management time and costs.

You will lead consultative selling, manage a growing territory, and coordinate with local branches to optimize inventory and pricing. A strong network, 7+ years in pharma sales, and a technical degree are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7+ years of sales experience in Pharma (raw chemicals) industry.
• Bachelor's degree; technical science or chemistry preferred.
• Ability to nurture an extensive network of contacts.
• Strong business acumen and negotiating skills.

Responsibilities

• Improve Univar's position within each account using consultative and in-depth selling at all levels within the account.
• Prospect for new business by conducting sales calls to actively grow the size of the territory.
• Focus on customer retention and overall customer satisfaction.
• Provide customer technical support and consultant services to increase our overall value to the customer.
• Maintain a clear updated view of your sales pipeline.
• Set pricing and service levels, as well as maintain and coordinate customer quotations or provide necessary information to allow local branches to do so.
• Coordinate with Local Sales, Purchasing, and Operations to ensure proper inventory levels.
• Demonstrate commitment to safety, both personal and of your colleagues.
