Job summary

DK Law in Costa Mesa seeks a Legal Negotiator to lead a pre-litigation team, handling demand writing and high-stakes settlements. You will transform complex injury cases into compelling financial recoveries through skilled negotiation and persuasive writing.

You’ll work closely with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff, maintain detailed records, coordinate with insurers and defense firms, and drive timely resolutions while keeping clients informed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Personal Injury Law, preferably in demand writing or negotiation.
• Experience negotiating high value cases ($250k and above).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office, Adobe.

Responsibilities

• Conduct settlement negotiations with insurance companies and defense firms to resolve personal injury claims.
• Review and analyze demands to identify key issues, damages, and liability.
• Develop negotiation strategies and tactics for optimal settlements.
• Communicate effectively with insurers, defense counsel, and stakeholders to negotiate settlements.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of all negotiations.
• Monitor and update case status to ensure timely resolution and client communication.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, case managers and support staff for coordination.
• Keep records of written and verbal communications with clients.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure calendars reflect all dates.
