Job summary

VERSANT Media seeks a Senior Perimeter Network Engineer in New York to design, implement, and optimize enterprise perimeter security using Palo Alto Networks NGFWs. This role leads firewall architecture initiatives and ensures high availability across edge environments.

You will collaborate with security, cloud, and infrastructure teams to enforce zero-trust design, conduct rule reviews, and respond to threats while maintaining documentation and compliance.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of network engineering experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls.
• Strong experience with Panorama, GlobalProtect VPN, IPS/IDS, and zero-trust design.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain Palo Alto Networks NGFWs (physical and virtual).
• Configure and optimize IPS/IDS, URL Filtering, WildFire, DNS Security, and SSL decryption.
