Job summary

VERSANT Media is seeking a Senior Perimeter Network Engineer in New York to design, deploy, and optimize our enterprise perimeter security. You will lead firewall architecture initiatives, implement NGFWs, and manage centralized controls via Panorama, ensuring HA, performance, and regulatory compliance across edge environments.

The ideal candidate brings 7+ years in network engineering, deep Palo Alto experience, and strong skills in zero-trust design, VPNs, and cloud perimeter integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 7+ years of network engineering experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls.
• Strong experience with Panorama, GlobalProtect VPN, IPS/IDS, and secure network design.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain Palo Alto NGFWs (physical and virtual).
• Architect and configure security zones, segmentation, and policies.
• Manage GlobalProtect VPN and Panorama for centralized firewall management.
• Ensure high availability of perimeter security infrastructure and optimize performance.
• Collaborate with NOC/SOC teams for incident resolution and compliance.
