Job summary

Husch Blackwell LLP is seeking a strategic People Business Partner to align talent strategy with business goals across our U.S. offices in a hybrid capacity.

You will lead talent management, workforce planning, and organizational development while collaborating on people projects, data analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives. A strong HR leadership background and change management experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) highly desired.
• 7–10 years of HR experience; senior HR partnership experience required.
• Strategic thinking and complex problem solving abilities.
• Business and financial acumen to align people strategies with goals.
• Strong relationship building and collaboration across levels.
• Change management leadership and communication skills.
• Confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive information.
• Experience in employee relations and conflict resolution.
• Data literacy and ability to translate data into decisions.
• Detail orientation and ability to multitask and deliver results.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Collaboration: partner with senior leadership to align talent strategy with unit goals.
• Workforce Planning: lead initiatives in talent assessments, succession planning, and redesigns.
• Compensation Support: advise on firm guidelines and alignment with goals.
• Change Management: coach managers and staff during organizational changes.
• People Process Delivery: guide policies, programs, and resources for units.
• Performance Management: provide essential guidance and support.
• Employee Engagement: monitor metrics and drive improvement actions.
• Employee Relations and Conflict Resolution: provide consultative support and mediation.
• Employee Departures: manage offboarding processes.
• Project Partnership: collaborate on people projects and cross-functional initiatives.
• Data Analysis & Reporting: analyze metrics and present actionable insights.
• Other Duties As Assigned.
