Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Senior People Business Partner in New York to help roll out HR initiatives, policies, and procedures across the organization. You will design, execute, and monitor human resource programs and partner with managers to manage risks and implement initiatives in a dynamic, services-driven environment.

The role focuses on onboarding, performance management, training, and employee relations while ensuring alignment with CBRE’s values and diversity commitments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5-8 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
• Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
• Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.

Responsibilities

• Assist onboarding, career ladders, succession planning, and performance management.
• Provide employee relations guidance, conflict resolution, and disciplinary action support.
• Work with managers to identify employment-related risks and begin investigations.
• Manage HR functions including employment, labor relations, and compensation for a business unit.
• Conduct training on topics such as performance management and diversity.
• Apply knowledge of standard HR principles to complex assignments and innovative solutions.
• Coach others and share knowledge across the HR function.
• Lead by example and promote CBRE RISE values to build consensus.
• Impact activities within teams and related groups.
• Work within broad guidelines and policies.
• Explain difficult or sensitive information.
