Harness is seeking a Principal People Business Partner in San Francisco (hybrid) to serve as the senior People advisor to Customer Success, Marketing, Finance, and Legal leadership. You will shape team structure, development, and leadership as we scale in a global tech environment.

You will drive People programs end-to-end, lead high-stakes employee relations, and partner with Global PBP teams to scale AI-driven HR solutions while ensuring governance and compliance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of People Business Partner or HRBP experience
• Experience in tech, SaaS or high-growth environments
• Trusted advisor to executive leaders on talent strategy and org design
• Expertise in org design, change mgmt, performance mgmt, leadership development and ER
• Strong knowledge of federal and local employment law
• Data-driven with ability to translate metrics into recommendations
• Ability to lead through ambiguity and deliver results
• Experience deploying AI-assisted HR workflows

Responsibilities

• Strategic Business Partnership with C-Level executives on talent strategy, workforce planning, succession and org effectiveness
• Lead org design conversations with senior leaders for scale
• Represent People function in leadership meetings and guide people decisions
• Pair data with business understanding to identify risks and solutions
• Lead complex employee relations matters with Legal
• Drive talent planning, performance cycles, and compensation discussions
• Collaborate with Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, L&D and People Operations to ensure global program alignment
• Drive automation strategy for the PBP function using AI tools
