Job summary

The Division of Behavioral Health and Recovery, Office of Wellness and Recovery Services, seeks a Peer Recovery Support Services Administrator in Springfield, IL. This role will formulate and implement policy for statewide peer recovery programs and represent DBHR in the community.

The position requires four years of college in social/human services and four years of administrative leadership in a peer recovery setting.

Qualifications

• Requires completion of four (4) years of college with coursework in social or human services.
• Requires four (4) years of progressively responsible administrative experience in a peer recovery support program.
• Preferred: four (4) years developing and implementing policies for peer recovery services.

Responsibilities

• Formulates and implements policy for peer recovery support programs with statewide impact.
• Directs, plans, and administers peer recovery support program implementations.
• Represents the Division of Behavioral Health and Recovery in the community.
• Ensures voices of individuals with mental health or addiction histories are heard in the system.
• Plans, develops, and implements methods and procedures for peer recovery services.
• Serves as full-line supervisor.
• Performs other duties within scope as required.
