This role provides non-clinical, peer-based support to individuals recovering from opioid use disorder, drawing on lived experience to build trust and guide clients through recovery. You will maintain an active caseload, document interactions per agency standards, and collaborate with clinical staff to reduce barriers and support harm-reduction goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Personal life experience in recovery.
• 1 year working with persons with substance use disorders, mental health, or related field preferred.
• CRSS within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Encourage client engagement in treatment through ongoing motivation, empathy, and assistance navigating recovery and harm reduction resources.
• Maintain an active caseload and deliver peer recovery services tailored to individual client needs.
• Accurately and timely document all client interactions, assessments, referrals, and other required information per program and agency standards.
• Support clients in reducing barriers and achieving recovery or harm reduction goals through collaboration with clinical staff and treatment teams.
• Engage new clients through one-on-one sessions, facilitate support groups and workshops, and encourage re-engagement for missed appointments.
