Job summary

Everforth Apex seeks a skilled CAD Technician in New York City to design and lay out complex multi-layer PCBs using Altium Designer, from schematic capture through production release.

You will collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineers to ensure signal integrity, power integrity, and thermal performance while managing revisions and library components in a professional environment.

Qualifications

• Education: Technical degree or equivalent certification in drafting, design, electronics technology, or related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years PCB layout experience, including at least 3 continuous years using Altium Designer.
• Technical: Expert in Altium Designer for schematic capture, layout, library management, and output generation; knowledge of PCB fabrication and assembly.

Responsibilities

• Design and lay out complex multi-layer PCBs (4–16+ layers) using Altium Designer from schematic capture to production release.
• Collaborate with electrical engineers to translate schematics into optimized board layouts with signal, power, and thermal considerations.
• Place components and route for high-speed digital, mixed-signal, and power designs; define stackups and impedance.
• Create and maintain libraries, footprints, and symbols; generate Gerbers, drill files, BOMs, and assembly drawings.
• Perform DRC/DFM reviews and support board bring-up, debugging, and ECO management.
