Job summary

Actalent is seeking a highly skilled PCB Designer to work on a robotics-focused development project. You will design and lay out complex PCBs (4-16+ layers) using Altium Designer, collaborating with electrical engineers to translate schematics into optimized board layouts and production-ready outputs.

This is a fully remote contract role aligned to EST hours, based out of New York, NY. Typical pay is $45.00 per hour, with compensation reflecting qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

• Expert-level proficiency in Altium Designer with at least 3+ years of continuous experience.
• Experience designing and laying out complex, multi-layer PCBs (4 to 16+ layers).
• Ability to translate schematics into optimized board layouts and manage libraries.

Responsibilities

• Design and layout complex, multi-layer PCBs using Altium Designer.
• Collaborate with electrical engineers to translate schematics into optimized board layouts.
• Ensure signal integrity, power integrity, and thermal performance in board designs.
• Manage library components and generate output files for production.
