Job summary

Solvo Global is seeking a Senior Payroll Tax Specialist to manage federal and state payroll tax compliance and related tax research for the PEO industry in Chandler, AZ. The role requires handling multi-state tax processes, staying compliant with evolving regulations, and delivering accurate tax work across departments.

Ideal candidates will have 3+ years in multi-state payroll tax, prior senior or lead experience, and familiarity with MasterTax and Prism/HRP.

Qualifications

• 3+ years multi-state payroll tax experience
• Senior/Lead/Supervisor experience required
• PEO or related industry experience preferred
• Hands-on tax return processing experience required
• Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll, federal, state and local wage laws
• CPP or FPC certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepares or reviews tax documents ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Performs tax reconciliations and determines liability
• Assists in preparation and distribution of tax forms
• Answers questions and researches discrepancies
• Researches, interprets, and understands tax codes and forms
• Modifies procedures for changes in tax law or code
• Notifies leadership of regulatory updates and implements changes
• Resolves escalated issues with clients or internal departments
