Job summary

Vensure Employer Solutions, headquartered in Chandler, Arizona, is seeking a Senior Payroll Tax Specialist to manage federal and state tax compliance within the PEO sector. You will ensure timely filings, perform tax reconciliations, and support tax research while aligning with regulatory changes.

You should have at least three years of multi-state payroll tax experience, one year in a senior or supervisory role, and familiarity with MasterTax/Prism. CPP or FPC preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years multi-state payroll tax experience.
• Minimum of one year of recent Senior/Lead or Supervisor experience.
• PEO or related industry experience preferred.
• Hands-on tax return processing experience is required.
• Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll, federal, state and local wage laws required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares or reviews tax related documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable guidelines and regulations.
• Performs tax reconciliations and determines liability for account, divisions, or business units.
• Assists in the preparation and distribution of tax forms.
• Answers questions and researches discrepancies.
• Research, interpret, and understand existing or revised tax codes, laws, or forms.
• Modifies work procedures to reflect changes in tax law or code.
• Notify leadership of regulatory updates and propose and implement required changes
• Resolve escalated issues with clients or internal departments.
