LV Petroleum seeks a Payroll Tax Specialist to oversee federal, state, and local payroll tax compliance, filings, and reconciliations. You will partner with payroll, HR, and finance to ensure accurate tax processing and regulatory adherence across multiple jurisdictions.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of payroll tax experience, familiarity with Paychex or similar platforms, and strong Excel skills. The role entails year-end tax reporting and tax audits support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in accounting/finance/business preferred.
• 3–5 years payroll tax experience, multi-state preferred.
• Experience with payroll tax compliance across states and localities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate withholding and reporting of federal, state, and local payroll taxes.
• Manage quarterly and annual payroll tax filings (Forms 941, 940, W-2s, state/local filings).
• Reconcile payroll tax accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Research and resolve payroll tax notices and audits.
• Register and maintain payroll tax accounts in new jurisdictions.
• Coordinate with payroll provider to ensure accurate tax processing.
