Job summary

Vensure Employer Solutions is seeking a Senior Payroll Tax Specialist in Chandler, AZ. The role focuses on federal and state tax compliance, tax research, and ensuring timely payroll tax processing within the PEO framework.

The candidate must have multi-state payroll tax experience, leadership exposure, and strong knowledge of wage laws. CPP or FPC certifications are preferred; MasterTax and Prism/HRP experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years multi-state payroll tax experience.
• Minimum of 1 year in a Senior, Lead or Supervisor role.
• Hands-on tax return processing experience.
• Strong knowledge of multi-state, federal, state and local wage laws.

Responsibilities

• Prepare or review tax documents for accuracy and compliance.
• Perform tax reconciliations and determine liability for units or divisions.
• Assist in preparation and distribution of tax forms; respond to discrepancies.
• Research, interpret and apply changes in tax codes or forms; communicate updates to leadership.
• Resolve escalated issues with clients or internal departments.
