Qualifications

• 4+ years of payroll tax experience with focus on tax defect resolution for notices, amended returns, and payroll correction across multiple states.
• Ability to independently draft penalty abatement requests and agency response letters with complete documentation.
• Experience preparing amended Federal (941-X, W-2c) and State returns across states including PA, OH, and others.

Responsibilities

• Resolve the most complex State and Federal payroll tax notices, owning the full case lifecycle from intake to closure.
• Prepare and file amended Federal and State payroll tax returns (941-X, state equivalents) across 10+ states end-to-end.
• Diagnose and resolve payroll tax errors spanning multiple pay periods or jurisdictions; drive complete correction workflow to resolution.
