Qualifications

• 4+ years of payroll tax experience focusing on tax defect resolution for notices, amended returns, and corrections across multiple states.
• Independent drafting of penalty abatement requests and agency response letters with documentation.
• Experience preparing amended Federal and State returns (941-X, W-2c) across multiple states.

Responsibilities

• Resolve complex state and federal payroll tax notices, ownership from intake to closure.
• Prepare and file amended payroll tax returns (941-X, state equivalents) across 10+ states.
• Diagnose payroll tax errors spanning multiple periods, tracing to payroll runs and correcting cross-jurisdiction issues.
• Maintain high productivity by resolving correction, amendment, and notice requests with accuracy.
• Coach and support Senior Processors, sharing knowledge and building team capability.
• Develop and review SOPs and KB articles; identify recurring errors and drive corrective actions.
