Intuit is seeking a Staff Payroll Tax Processor to lead complex payroll tax issue resolution across Notices, Corrections, and Amendments. This role combines deep tax expertise with mentorship, handling the most challenging cases while elevating the team’s capability.

The position emphasizes process improvement, cross-functional collaboration, and end-to-end case ownership in a flexible, hourly, part-time role with opportunities to impact Intuit’s tax operations.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of payroll tax experience with focus on tax defect resolution across multiple states.
• Expert knowledge of State and Federal payroll tax notices; ability to draft penalty abatement requests and agency letters.

Responsibilities

• Resolve complex State and Federal payroll tax notices across multiple states and periods.
• Prepare and file amended Federal and State payroll tax returns (Form 941-X, W-2c) across 10+ states.
• Diagnose and resolve payroll tax errors spanning multiple pay periods or jurisdictions.
• Maintain high productivity resolving corrections and notices with high accuracy.
• Mentor and coach Senior Payroll Tax Processors to build team capability.
