Intuit, Inc. is seeking a Staff Payroll Tax Processor to act as a senior SME, resolving complex state and federal payroll tax notices and overseeing amended returns across multiple states.

This role focuses on tax defect resolution and process improvement, working with Corrections, Amendments, and Notice teams. The position offers flexible, remote work with a minimum 20 hours per week and potential up to 40 hours, paid hourly with overtime eligibility.

Qualifications

• 4+ years payroll tax experience focused on tax defect resolution.
• Expert knowledge of state and federal payroll tax notices.
• Experience preparing amended Federal/State returns (941-X, W-2c).
• Lead/senior SME experience with coaching junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Resolve complex state and federal payroll tax notices across multiple states.
• Prepare and file amended payroll tax returns (941-X, state equivalents) end-to-end.
• Diagnose and correct payroll tax errors across multiple periods and jurisdictions.
• Coach teammates, contribute to SOPs and KB articles, share process knowledge.
