Job summary

Intuit, Inc. is seeking a Staff Payroll Tax Processor on SelectTime to serve as a senior payroll tax expert and SME. This role focuses on fixing payroll tax problems across notices, corrections, and amendments, and acts as a technical lead for the team.

The position is hourly, non-exempt with 20–40 hours weekly, offering overtime eligibility. You will coach teammates, develop SOPs, and drive process improvements across US jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of payroll tax experience with a focus on tax defect resolution for notices, amended returns, and payroll corrections across multiple states.
• Expert knowledge of State and Federal payroll tax notice types; ability to draft penalty abatement requests and agency responses with supporting docs.
• Hands-on experience preparing and approving amended Federal and State payroll tax returns across states including PA, OH, and others.

Responsibilities

• Resolve complex State and Federal payroll tax notices, owning full case lifecycle from intake through closure.
• Prepare and file amended Federal and State payroll tax returns (Form 941-X, W-2c) across 10+ states end-to-end.
• Diagnose payroll tax errors spanning multiple pay periods; trace discrepancies and drive correction workflow.
• Maintain high productivity resolving Corrections, Amendments, and Notice requests with high accuracy.
