Intuit, Inc. seeks a senior payroll tax expert and SME to lead end-to-end resolution of notices, corrections, and amendments. The Staff Payroll Tax Processor will guide less experienced staff while owning the most complex cases and driving process improvements for customers.

This SelectTime remote role offers flexible hours with 20–40 hours weekly, overtime eligibility, and a focus on tax defect resolution rather than payroll processing. Strong Excel and cross-state expertise are required.

Qualifikationen

• 4+ years of payroll tax experience with focus on tax defect resolution across multiple states.
• Expert knowledge of state and federal payroll tax notices; able to draft penalty abatement requests and agency responses.
• Hands-on experience preparing amended Federal (941-X, W-2c) and State payroll tax returns across multiple states.
• Deep knowledge of federal payroll tax law and multi-state tax compliance.

Aufgaben

• Resolve complex state and federal payroll tax notices, owning full case lifecycle.
• Prepare and file amended payroll tax returns across 10+ states end-to-end.
• Diagnose payroll tax errors spanning multiple periods and drive corrections.
• Maintain high productivity in resolving correction and amendment requests with accuracy.
• Monitor WIP, identify aging cases, and drive resolution paths with root-cause analysis.
