Job summary

Qualifications

• 4+ years of payroll tax experience with complex tax defect resolution.
• Experience as lead/ SME with mentoring or training junior staff.
• Advanced writing skills for SOPs and technical documents.
• Ownership of SLAs and proactive problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary real-time technical expert for TP1-TP3 staff and teach resolution paths.
• Author and approve SOPs and KB articles across core operations.
• Coach team members quarterly using the SBIC feedback model.
• Lead or contribute to team huddles and daily stand-ups as needed.
• Oversee WIP, backlog and aging reports; advise staffing adjustments.
• Resolve severe State and Federal payroll tax notices across multi-jurisdictional issues.
• Approve complex amended Federal (Form 941-X, W-2c) and State returns.
• Identify systemic trends and risks; communicate with stakeholders with data-driven responses.
• Represent team in cross-functional meetings and uphold compliance.
