Job summary

Intuit is seeking a Staff Payroll Tax Processor via SelectTime to act as a senior payroll tax SME, owning complex state and federal notices, amendments, and corrections. This hourly role focuses on resolving tax defects and transferring knowledge to the team.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in payroll tax with deep tax law knowledge and advanced Excel skills. Remote work with flexible hours and overtime eligibility are offered.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in payroll tax with focus on tax defect resolution.
• Experience drafting penalty abatement requests and agency letters.
• Experience filing amended Federal/State payroll tax returns.

Responsibilities

• Resolve complex state and federal payroll tax notices across multiple states.
• Prepare and file amended returns (Form 941-X, W-2c) across 10+ states.
• Diagnose payroll tax errors spanning multiple pay periods across jurisdictions.
• Coach Senior Processors and share knowledge; contribute to SOPs and KB articles.
• Collaborate with Corrections, Amendments, Pay & File, and Tax Notice teams.
